It is nice to stay connected with you all! That sounds Southern (you all!!) No I am from chilly upstate New York. I just wanted to remind you that you can join ANIA-CARING for 3 months for free. This professional organization is a wonderful way to get ideas to answer discussion questions, look for practicum locations, jobs and learn about the nitty gritty problems of Informatics. Please join the directions are below:

Here are the instructions to join, if you wish, the first 3 months are free Kaplan Student, Go to www.ania-caring.org Membership Membership application Enter e-mail under New Users field Fill out fields (especially those in bold) Submit (even though it says $40) Discount Code – student2011 Apply This means you are a member, but you need to follow instructions at Actionsàelist to add yourself to the elist. Login with your new user name and password. Go to your profile and follow the instructions under Actions>>elist. You will have a three month courtesy membership. Enjoy

ANIA-CARING

Hi all!! ANIA-CARING has been kind enough to give the Informatics students a free 4 month subscription. Look in your course rooms for information on how to join. This is most helpful in MN532. My suggestion is either join early for free then buy a student membership which is about $40.00 or wait until you are in 532 if you do not plan on joining. MN 532 is the clinical course and being on their list serv is very helpful. MAT

AHIMA conference

Hopefully the below will link you to a conference in Chicago on the Electronic Health Records (EHR). These conferences can usually be attended at student rates and are a great place to go and connect with others in the field. It is also a great place to find potential preceptor-ships.

Welcome to MN 530, 531. This space is for collorboration among our Informatic students. Many of the new courses have only one student. It is hard to collaborate with just one student. When the courseroom asks for collorboration please share and comment here.
This is not graded nor mandatory but we would love to see your participation. MAT
